Wednesday, 17 August 2011 13:26

The Little Fox Market promotes local small businesses to the local community.

Our Next market is on SATURDAY 20th AUGUST from 10am - 3pm in the grounds of the Fox & Hounds in the High Street.

Each month brings a variety of stalls with fantastic high quality products run by local people, such as crafts, clothes, jewellery, cupcakes, home made breads or sustainable seafood!

The stalls are hand picked to offer something a little bit different, something unique, hand made, or designed, cooked or sourced just for market visitors.

There is a tasty BBQ and face painting for the kiddies, which means there is something for everyone!

The market raises money for local charities by taking entrance donations and selling tickets for their fantastic raffle.  In July they raised money for Michael Sobell House and in August all proceeds will go to local charity 9 Lives - www.9livesfurniture.org.uk.

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR VOTE IN HERTSMERE
Tuesday, 16 August 2011 11:10

Residents in Hertsmere can expect to see a voter registration form coming through their letterbox soon.

Hertsmere Borough Council will be sending out voter registration forms, otherwise known as annual canvas forms, to all households in the borough.

Everyone is required to complete this and update the details of everyone living in their property who is eligible to vote and return it to us as soon as possible.

Jo Bateman, Hertsmere’s Electoral Services Officer, said: “It is important that you register to vote every year. If you fail to send back your form this could result in you being removed from the electoral register – meaning you would not be eligible to vote in the forthcoming elections. Not being included on the Electoral Register can also make it difficult for you to get credit for loans, mortgages or credit cards among other things. I would encourage all residents to complete and send back the registration document at their earliest convenience.”
