Police investigating a suspected murder in Hemel Hempstead have released a statement on behalf of the family of the victim Thomas Baird. Mr Baird, aged 63, of Westerdale, leaves behind his son Tommy and daughter Kelly and grandson Harry (Kelly’s son). The statement from the family reads: “It is so hard to put into words how we feel – the pain and loss – our lives will never be the same again. “You were the best Granddad in the world and Harry idolised you. You were his world. If only we could both have five minutes with you to say goodbye and to tell you how much we love you now, always and forever.
