A pizzeria in Abbots Langley will expand into a neighbouring building following a successful planning application.
San Giorgio Pizzeria on the High Street is situated next to the now dormant Simon East Butcher’s, which closed its doors for good after 50 years in the community last August.
Three Rivers District Council has now given permission for the restaurant to utilise the empty premises.
The internal floor space of the former butchers will principally serve as a seating area for the pizza restaurant. A doorway will be inserted within the party wall which will connect the two units internally. No further internal or external alterations are proposed.
Abbots Langley Parish Council stated: “Members have no objection to this change of use. We support this use of the High Street.”
