Councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson, chairwoman of Watford Borough Council, joined the local community to celebrate the chairman of the Kenyan Association of Hertfordshire.
On Saturday, March 1, the community came together to host a surprise appreciation party for chairman Aggrey Kanyanga. The event, which took place at Sun Sports Club in Watford, was attended by the Kenyan High Commissioner Catherine Karemu Wahome.
Speaking to watfordnews, cllr Allen-Williamson said: “This event was a reflection of our deep gratitude for his unwavering dedication, leadership, and tireless service to our community.
“Aggrey has consistently gone above and beyond to foster unity, address community challenges, and champion initiatives that have positively impacted our lives.
“His selfless commitment, ability to bring people together, and vision for a better future have been truly inspiring. From spearheading development projects to advocating for the welfare of our members, his contributions have left a lasting mark.
“This event was our way of saying thank you. We believe that such leadership deserves recognition, and we were honoured to celebrate him.”
