A resident of the Manor Estate in Apsley has said a footbridge that leads from the area to the rest of the village is in a “shocking state”.
The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that they have regularly contacted Dacorum Borough Council (DBC) over the course of a year about the problem, but no action has been taken.
Speaking to Kings News, the resident said: “The footbridge over the railway is in a shocking state, with litter, weeds, broken glass and, of course, years’ worth of graffiti.
“I have reported this to DBC for getting on for a year now, but there has been no action. This is the footway to hundreds of homes, and serious TLC is needed.”
The bridge in question, which is one of three leading to the rest of Apsley, is at the bottom of Edward Court and is regularly used by schoolchildren attending Two Waters Primary School. It also links to the adjoining Aspen Park housing development.
DBC has been contacted for comment.
